LOC Manager of the Year Award Given to Peralta Monday, August 27th , 1888 An outstanding season by the Vultures garnered their manager Iván Peralta the Liga Occidental Manager of the Year award for 1888. He led Kingston to a 64-32 record this year and a first place finish in the Liga Occidental English Circuit. Even so, Peralta seemed less than thrilled. "I don't give a darn about the award," he growled to reporters, "I just want this team to win championships!" |
