Port-au-Prince, Almendares Deal Made Wednesday, June 20th , 1888 A trade was announced today at a press conference in Port-au-Prince. Not satisfied with their current roster, the Port-au-Prince Violettes general manager shook things up by acquiring 27-year old 3B Abundio Gonzalez from the Almendares Alacranes for 20-year old C Tom Terrell and 22-year old RF Thomas Long. "We're a better team now," Violettes general manager Hugo Guzman said. "We've added several pieces to the puzzle." Presently Terrell is batting .000 with no home runs and 0 RBIs. He has played in 7 games and scored 0 times. Thus far in 1888 Gonzalez is hitting .194 with 1 home run, 21 RBIs, 22 runs scored and has compiled a .240 OBP. |
