Catón de Herrera led the Santa Clara Leopardos to a 2-0 shutout victory over the Camaguey Tinajones at Terreno de los Leopardos today.

"My pitching coach told me before the game just to bear down and focus," de Herrera recalled later. "He said no one was going to hit me if I'm throwing a good breaking ball with good location."

de Herrera yielded 5 hits and had 1 strikeout and 1 walk in the standout performance.

"I thought he put the ball where he wanted to," Camaguey manager Roberto Merlo said. "And that's just about the whole secret to pitching."
