Silva Hits 2 home runs in Leopardos Win
The Santa Clara Leopardos and Bayamo Rafagas completed their game despite the rain.

The Santa Clara Leopardos beat the Bayamo Rafagas, 6-2, at Terreno de los Leopardos. The win was due in part to right fielder Amancio Silva, who was 2-4 with 2 home runs. He drove in 5 runs and scored twice. Miguel Rodríguez, who went 8 innings, was the winning pitcher. He was charged with 2 runs on 6 hits, while walking 5 and striking out 4. His record now stands at 2-0.

Silva had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the eighth. On a 1-0 fastball from Enrique Cantú, he banged a grand slam home run to left, giving the Leopardos a 6-2 lead. It was the 4th home run of the year for Silva.

"I've been criticized for being a slacker, but the one thing I do care about is winning," Silva told the Santa Clara Times.

Bayamo is 2-4 after the loss.
