Dial Raps Tyler for 5 Hits
It's not something you read about in the sports pages every day -- a 5-for-7 day. For many, it might come around only once in a career -- and for Pete Dial, it came around today.

The 28-year-old right fielder scattered hits all over Pecan Kings Stadium to pace the Waco Mammoths to a 21-2 victory over the Tyler Pecan Kings.

Tyler skipper Marshall Locke told reporters in the press room that "Dial deserves a hat-tip."

"He hit some good pitches against us," he said. "In fact, according to our scouting reports, Dial hit several that he is not supposed to be able to hit."

Pete Dial grounded out in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, flied out in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 6th, singled in the 8th, hit a two-run single in the 8th and hit a two-run single in the 9th.

So far this year Dial is batting .324 with no home runs, 9 RBIs and 9 runs scored.
