Walt Preston said "it felt like taking batting practice" today at Athletic Field, and it showed in the box score. The Milwaukee center fielder had a fantastic 5-for-6 day against the Boston Reds, leading his club to victory, 13-7.

"I was seeing the ball very well and it was going just about anywhere I wanted," Preston said later."

Walt Preston singled in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Toad Ramsey in the 2nd, grounded out in the 4th, hit an RBI double in the 5th, singled in the 7th and hit an RBI single in the 8th.

In the current season, Preston has put up a .346 batting average with 94 hits, 1 home run, 44 runs batted in and scored 42 runs.
