MacDermid Whitewashes Quebec City Monday, August 9th , 1897 Tim MacDermid of the Thurso Bucherons whitewashed the Quebec City Dons 1-0 in a complete-game win, limiting them to 5 hits while chalking up no strikeouts and giving up 2 walks. "He's got the makeup. He's not afraid to challenge guys," Thurso manager Freddie Strickland said to BNN reporters after the game. "Tim is poised out there.
