Brisson Wins LBQ Player of the Week Prize Monday, July 26th , 1897 There's no arguing that 35-year-old Monty Brisson has paid his dues and this this week he collected. The Thurso Bucherons second baseman had one of the best weeks of his career and captured the Ligue de Baseball du Québec Player of the Week trophy. He hit .435 while collecting 10 hits in 23 at-bats, 1 home run, 6 RBIs and 11 runs scored. In his stats this season, Brisson has posted a batting average of .282 with 91 hits in 323 at-bats, 3 home runs and 36 RBIs. He has also scored 64 runs, walked 46 times and compiled a .368 OBP. |
