Thistles Dump John Kenney as Manager Saturday, October 16th , 1897 Inverness Thistles general manager Charles Davis today fired his manager, John Kenney, citing "failure to utilize all elements of his roster properly." Speaking to reporters while cleaning out his office, Kenney was asked to comment on that assessment. "Part of a team's success comes from the talent that is put on the field every day. It's common knowledge that the Thistles are missing a few key components," he said. "I got the best out of the talent I was given. Maybe the wrong person was fired?" |
