ETXA Presents Player of the Week Trophy Monday, September 27th , 1897 The Player of the Week has been chosen by the Association of Eastern Texas. The award went to Alfie Kenny, third baseman of the San Marcos Cadavers. In a sensational hitting performance, he wrecked league pitchers with a .565 average to win the honor. Kenny went 13-for-23 for the week, totaled 1 home run and 8 RBIs and scored 6 times. On the year Kenny has hit .312 with 3 home runs, 41 RBIs and scored 37 runs. |
