Marquez Voted July's Best LFM Rookie Wednesday, August 1st , 1888 Premislao Marquez is still a bit shy, but then, who could blame the newest Liga Fronteriza Mexicana Rookie of the Month honoree? He hasn't been around the league long enough to fully know the ropes yet, despite the fact that he's putting up veteran-like numbers. In July the Villa Ahumada hitter tagged opposing pitching for a .190 average with 16 hits, no home runs and 4 RBIs. Looking at his stats this year, Marquez has compiled a .216 batting average, while hitting 3 home runs and driving in 30 runs. He has played in 80 games and scored 45 runs. |
