This Week's Star Player is Peña Monday, August 24th , 1885 Once you hit 35, it's hard to say how much time you've got left in baseball. Jesús Peña has been fortunate as his numbers for the past week bear out. The 36-year-old left fielder, a favorite in the Mayaguez Capitanes clubhouse, hit .579 last week as he put up Player of the Week numbers. Peña also put together 11 hits in 19 at-bats, no home runs and 4 RBIs for the week. Currently Peña is batting .277 with 94 hits and 3 home runs. He has knocked in 33 runs and scored 38 times. |
