Playoffs Won't Happen for Cariduros Saturday, October 16th , 1897 The Fajardo Cariduros may feel they were as good as the playoff teams this year, but the club has ultimately fallen short of qualifying and will watch the postseason from the sidelines. "It's frustrating because we really feel like we could have given any of the teams a run for their money," said starting pitcher Mateo Izquierdo. The Cariduros have made the playoffs 7 times in their 27 years as a Liga Nacional Puertorriquena franchise. This playoff miss is the club's 2nd in a row, with their last postseason appearance coming in 1895. In the last 10 seasons, the Cariduros have only made the playoffs once. |
