Waco Shut Out by Medina Sunday, July 29th , 1888 Goose eggs were the order of the day for the Waco Mammoths as starter Benigno Medina shut out the Waco Mammoths 4-0 at Waco Grounds. The Galveston pitcher struck out 2 and walked 1 while allowing 6 hits. "Medina was good but he wasn't flawless," Waco manager Augurio Perez said later. "We had a few opportunities to make something happen and we didn't do it. Not to take anything away from Galveston, but this is on us."
