Jordan Breaks Record with Strikeout Wednesday, July 25th , 1888 Tyler Jordan, the fine Marfa pitcher, received a loud ovation today at Preachers Ballpark when he recorded strikeout number 227 for the season. The whiff established a new single-season record for Jordan. The old record was held by Bob Emslie. "I'll relish this record for a while," said Jordan. "But as we all know, records are made to be broken." So far this year Jordan has 11 wins and 18 losses and a 2.49 ERA. |
