Lapeyre Spins 3-0 Shutout Sunday, June 17th , 1888 The Nacogdoches Roaches did little to support starter Aurélien Lapeyre against the Galveston Gulls, but it turned out he didn't need the help. The right-hander spun a complete game shutout against the Gulls, striking out 5 and surrendering 1 hit. The performance from Lapeyre allowed Nacogdoches to escape with the 3-0 win despite an anemic offense. "Nobody came to me and said 'Aurélien, we're gonna need you to win this one for us today,' but I could feel it," Lapeyre told BNN reporters following the win.
