100 Victories for Tempe's Adam Dixon
Tempe's Adam Dixon took the hill at Tempe Stadium today in search of his 100th career win. The 29-year-old ace found it against the Phoenix Gila Monsters.

After the historic victory, his manager told reporters, "I saw a tremendous sigh of relief when this thing was over. He was just looking to hug everyone in sight."

He worked 9 innings with 8 strikeouts and no walks in the 2-1 victory, checking Phoenix on 6 hits.

"It a big milestone in my career," admitted Dixon. "When you get close to it, you worry about it a lot. It's done now... and I can relax and enjoy it."

His career totals show Dixon has a 100-53 won-lost record with a 1.73 ERA.
