Albuquerque right-hander John Madding helped his team edge Taos by the score of 3-2. Madding kept the opposing lineup in check. Madding, now 22-14, was the winner. In 11 innings, he gave up 8 hits, while striking out 11, walking 1, and allowing 2 runs. At 68-41, the Dukes are currently first in the Border League New Mexico Circuit.

The Dukes procured the win, in large part because of second baseman Caleb LeVier. In the bottom of the 11th, he produced the game-winning run-scoring single.

"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Madding told the Albuquerque Bulletin.
