The Ciudad Juarez Nortenos beat the San Agustin Algodoneros by a score of 7-2. Ciudad Juarez right fielder Miguel Martín deserved the lion's share of the credit. Martín went 3 for 4 with a home run, 2 doubles, and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 3 for the Nortenos. Picking up the win was Wilson Aguilar. He went 7 innings, allowing 2 runs on 7 hits. The left--hander struck out 3 and walked 2. Ciudad Juarez is now 50-55, San Agustin 38-67.
Martín made an early impact for Ciudad Juarez when he stroked his 2nd home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which came in the top of the second, put the Nortenos on top, 2-1.
