|
Samalayuca Enjambre starter Gabe Castañeda pitched a strong game against the San Agustin Algodoneros at Algodoneros Park, leading the Enjambre to victory, 4-3. In 9 innings, Castañeda surrendered 8 hits, while striking out 5 and walking 2. He allowed 3 runs. The losses continue to mount for San Agustin, which has now dropped 12 in a row.
Pablo Delgado was a prime contributor to the Samalayuca win. He went 3-4 with 3 singles and a walk. In the top of the seventh with one out, the 29-year old third baseman hit a run-scoring single. It made the score 3-1, in favor of the Enjambre.
"I'm proud of the way we took care of business and got the 'W' today," Castañeda told the Samalayuca Citizen. "Whatever it takes."
