Lemmons Lifts Olympians to 7-1 Win
|
Chris Lemmons was a vital contributor to the 7-1 Tempe victory over Phoenix. The Olympians first baseman went 4 for 5 with 4 singles, while scoring 2 and driving in 3. Picking up the win was Jesse Stanley. He went 7 innings, allowing no runs on 6 hits. The right--hander struck out 6 and walked 6. With the win, Tempe pushed its record to 69-33.
Tempe left fielder Tim Randall helped the Olympians to the win. In the top of the first inning, the 34-year old left fielder stroked a run-scoring double. For the game, Randall went 3 for 5 with a double and 2 singles, while scoring 2 times.
"They played a better game than we did," said Phoenix skipper Zósimo Carrillo.
