The Tempe Olympians racked up a win at Lynx Park, bumping off the Prescott Lynx, 3-2. Joe Rexford, who started for Tempe, pitched effectively for his team. Tempe is first in the Border League Arizona Circuit with a record of 65-32.

The contest featured some late-game dramatics from Tempe first baseman Chris Lemmons. In the top of the eighth inning, with two out and the bases loaded, Lemmons hit a 2-run single to help Tempe seize the win.

"Good win for us," said Rexford. "Now we'll focus on the next one."
