The Tempe Olympians topped the Tucson Highwaymen, 2-1, in Border League action at Tempe Stadium. The standout performance belonged to Tempe pitcher and Diamond Bar, California, native Adam Dixon. Dixon went the distance for Tempe. He gave up 1 run on 7 hits. At 64-31, the Olympians are currently first in the Border League Arizona Circuit.

The Olympians got a big boost from first baseman Chris Lemmons who had a run-scoring ground out in the bottom of the first inning off Highwaymen hurler Nazir Cornell. It was his 44th RBI of the season and put Tempe on top, 1-0.

"This was a good win for us," said Lemmons. "It's one more step toward our ultimate goal."
