Madding Crafts 2-0 Shutout
|
In an impressive outing, John Madding whitewashed the Santa Fe Hollyhocks 2-0.
"I'm getting a lot more downward movement instead of side to side. That side-to-side stuff can get hit a long way," said Madding, who is throwing with more of an overhand motion.
"It's not rocket science. It was just a little adjustment, but that's all it took."
The Albuquerque hurler held Santa Fe scoreless, allowed 6 hits, chalked up 8 strikeouts and yielded no walks.
Up to now Madding has recorded a record of 13-10. In 24 starts he has fanned 123 batters in 207 innings with a 2.96 ERA.
