|
The Villa Ahumada Menonitas went down to defeat to Marco Ortiz and his Samalayuca teammates. The final score was 4-2 in favor of the Enjambre. The first-place Enjambre have a record of 22-11.
With one out in the top of the seventh, Rufino Hernández had a game-changing hit. The Enjambre shortstop slammed a 2-run single off Eduardo Cueva, making the score 4-2, Samalayuca.
After the game, Samalayuca manager Tony Starkes applauded the team's effort. "They busted their humps out there," he said.
