The Camuy Murcielagos picked up a win at Parque de los Murciélagos, knocking off the Ciales Valerosos, 7-3. Starting pitcher Pablo Valdez was a big reason why. Valdez went 9 innings to notch the win. He scattered 7 hits, walked 0, and struck out 1. His record improves to 25-19. With the victory, the Murcielagos upped their record to 80-58.

A defensive lapse proved costly in the contest. In the bottom of the seventh, with the game tied, Fernando Ruiz was at the plate when Camuy scored 1 on an error. The miscue enabled the Murcielagos to go in front, 4-3.

Valdez said afterward that his team has grown over the course of the season, adding: "It feels good when a plan comes together."
