Vaqueros Keep Streak Alive with Late Rally
The Bayamon Vaqueros picked up a win at Campo de los Vaqueros, knocking off the Juana Diaz Reyes, 8-6. Starting pitcher Marcos Alonso was a big reason why. Ismael Mata converted his 2nd save in 3 tries. The Vaqueros, at 78-58, sit in second place in the Liga Hostos Metro Oeste.

A defensive lapse proved costly in the contest. In the bottom of the eighth, with the game tied, Santiago Sandoval was at the plate when Bayamon scored 1 on an error. The miscue enabled the Vaqueros to go in front, 7-6.

"Hitting, winning. It's just contagious," said Alonso.
