Victory Takes Pericos to 30-18
Holguin picked up a win at Parque de los Pericos, bumping off the Bayamo Rafagas, 7-3. Pitcher Jim Cole was a major reason the Pericos emerged victorious. Cole got the win, improving to 9-5. He allowed 8 hits and walked 1 over 9 innings. Cole allowed 3 runs. The Pericos improved to 30-18.

Abdón Jara dealt the Rafagas a blow in the bottom of the third. Batting with the bases loaded and Holguin leading 2-0, Jara, who finished 2nd in the TORI in doubles with 23 last year, hit a 2-1 fastball for a bases-clearing double.

"I felt good even in the late innings," said Cole after the game.
