The Bayamo Rafagas beat the Santiago Soneros, 7-3. Bayamo pitcher and San Sebastián, Puerto Rico, native Enrique Cantú led the way. The win elevated the Rafagas to 21-18.

Bayamo first baseman Troy Butler contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the fourth. With two down, he hit a cutter into right field for a run-scoring single. It was his 62nd hit of the season and put the Rafagas ahead, 4-3.

Cantú attributed the win to "energy and focus on the part of everyone."
