Holguin Pericos starter Armando Sorto pitched a strong game against the Camaguey Tinajones at Parque de los Pericos, leading the Pericos to victory, 8-3. Sorto, now 1-1, was the winner. The Pericos got an important contribution from shortstop Doroteo Rayón, who in the bottom of the third knocked a 0-1 curveball into left-center for a 2-run double. It was his 5th double of the season and put the Pericos ahead, 3-0.
