The Guanica Amigos bested the San German Atleticos, 10-6, at Parque de los Atléticos. Gerardo Alonso was one of the standouts. He went 3 for 5 with a double and 2 singles. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. Carmelo Ocampo came out of the bullpen to earn the win. The right-hander allowed no runs on 3 hits in 2 innings. His record now stands at 2-1. The Amigos, now 16-5, have hit the ground running this season.

Daniel Quintero provided a timely hit. The Guanica shortstop delivered a run-scoring triple in the top of the ninth inning to put the Amigos on top, 7-6. It was his only hit in the game, but he made it count.

"Winning the game is always the first objective," Quintero said.
