Copper Lords Lose to Bishops in Walk Off
|
In a well-pitched game between the Bangor Bishops and the Swansea Copper Lords, pitcher Thomas Gonzalez was fantastic. The Bangor right-hander helped his team secure the win, 2-1. With this game in the books, Bangor is 41-54, Swansea 30-65.
In the bottom of the ninth, with two out and the game tied, 1-1, center fielder Pascual Pérez won it for Bangor. With runners on 1st and 2nd, Pérez hit a first pitch curveball from Leo Amos for a run-scoring single, giving his team the 2-1 win.
"It's great when the crowd gets into it," Gonzalez said.
