Arcadians Beat Swansea, 8-7
|
The Cardiff Arcadians bested the Swansea Copper Lords, 8-7, at Arcadians Field. Arthur Brophy was one of the standouts. He went 3 for 4 with 3 singles, a walk, and was hit by a pitch, while adding 4 RBI. Cardiff reliever Stephen Wood got the win, raising his record to 1-2. Gus Williams was tagged with the loss. Cardiff, at 44-42, sits in third place in the All-Team Circuit Undeb Pel-fas Cymru.
The Arcadians procured the win, in large part because of center fielder Simon Evans. In the bottom of the tenth, he produced the game-winning run-scoring single.
"We'll relax tonight and get back after it tomorrow," Evans said after the game.
