Starting pitcher Elton Graham was a major factor in the 4-1 Cork Salmon triumph over the Galway Harbourmasters. Graham, the winner, moves to 18-10. He threw 7 innings of 1-hit ball, while fanning 2 and giving up 1 walk. Brock Watson recorded the save for Cork, his 5th of the season.

The game was at a stalemate until center fielder Feargal Sheehan came to bat in the top of the eighth. Facing Galway pitcher Candy Dixon, he hit a 1-1 fastball for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Cork on top, 2-1.

Graham told a Cork Herald reporter that he was "very satisfied" with the win.

The Salmon improved to 42-43.
