The Cork Salmon picked up a win at Dublin Grounds, taking down the Dublin Vikings, 5-1. Starting pitcher Jay Thomson was a big reason why. Thomson got the win, improving to 15-11. He allowed 5 hits and walked 2 over 9 innings. Thomson allowed 1 run. The Salmon' win now puts them at 41-43.

Cork used a well-timed hit by Feargal Sheehan to capture the win. The center fielder socked a run-scoring double in the top of the sixth inning to put the Salmon ahead, 2-0. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.

"I really like what we did out there today," Sheehan said after the game.
