The Inverness Thistles picked up a win at Thistles Grounds, knocking off the Edinburgh Claymores, 6-3. Starting pitcher Benjamin McDougall played a key role in the triumph. The last-place Thistles are 32-43.

McDougall contributed in the bottom of the fifth. With the bases loaded, he drew a walk, driving in 1 run. It was one at-bat among others that helped Inverness get the win.

In comments to the Inverness News, McDougall insisted that he's not as disinterested as it often appears. "Haters will hate," he added.
