Copper Lords Dump Bishops, 2-1

Joe Stanford was masterful in helping the Swansea Copper Lords take down the Bangor Bishops, 2-1. Brannan Henderson was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 1 of 1 save opportunities. The Copper Lords saw their record improve to 21-39.
The Bishops had been locked in a 1-1 tie with the Copper Lords going into the bottom of the second inning. That changed quickly when the 27-year old catcher Enrique Salinas came to the plate. Salinas hit a run-scoring triple on a 2-0 changeup from Bangor hurler Roberto López. It was Salinas's 2nd triple of the year.
"Enjoyed this one," Stanford told the Swansea News. "But it's back to work tomorrow."
