The Belfast Bards defeated the Cork Salmon, 6-4, in Great British Base-Off action at Salmon Park. Belfast pitcher Jay Smith had a standout performance. The win puts the Bards at 42-18, while the Salmon drop to 28-29.

Oliver Saville contributed to the Bards cause with a productive at-bat in the top of the eighth inning. With a runner on 2nd, he hit a run-scoring single, giving Belfast the lead.

"We'll hit the hot tub tonight in good spirits tonight," said Saville.
