Big Day for McArthur in 16-4 Gulls Win
Getting a good performance from second baseman Howard McArthur, the Galveston Gulls defeated the New Braunfels Yodelers, 16-4. McArthur went 4-5 with a double, 3 singles, and a walk. He scored 5 runs and drove in 2 for the Gulls. Galveston is now 37-37. New Braunfels is 39-35.

Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Luis González? The Galveston third baseman had a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the third inning to put the Gulls on top, 3-2. For the game, González had 1 double and 2 singles in 4 at-bats.
