Waco Grounds was the site for Association of Eastern Texas action featuring the Beaumont Alpinists and Waco Mammoths.

The Waco Mammoths got a stellar effort from pitcher Steve Peters, helping Waco score a win over the visiting Beaumont Alpinists, 5-2. In 9 innings, Peters surrendered 4 hits, while striking out 3 and walking 2. He allowed 2 runs.
