Beaumont Alpinists starter Andrónico Alfaro had all his pitches working at Pecan Kings Stadium. His stellar performance paved the way for an easy 10-2 Beaumont win over the Tyler Pecan Kings. Beaumont is last in the Association of Eastern Texas Galveston Circuit with a record of 23-30.

The Alpinists took a 5-1 lead in the top of the fifth inning. Facing Tyler hurler Narciso Cortez with two outs, Alfaro hit a 2-run single.

"I'm proud to be a part of what we've got going on here," Alfaro told the Beaumont Daily News. "It's a great group and we're happy with the win."
