Andrónico Arellano made an impact in the 9-8 New Braunfels win over Tyler. Arellano, who finished 3rd in the ETXA in doubles with 31 in 1894, was 3 for 4 with 3 singles and a walk, while scoring 2. New Braunfels bumps their record to 20-21 with the win.

A defensive lapse proved costly in the contest. In the top of the eighth, with the game tied, Helio Trujillo was at the plate when New Braunfels scored 1 on an error. The miscue enabled the Yodelers to go in front, 9-8.
