Pete Dial did all he could to help his team win. In the end, though, it wasn't enough to keep the Waco Mammoths from losing, 7-6, to the New Braunfels Yodelers at Yodelers Field. Dial went 4-5 with 2 doubles and 2 singles. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. Aaron Watkins picked up the save, his 1st. At 18-21, the Yodelers claim third place in the Association of Eastern Texas San Marcos Circuit.

Roberto Guerrero contributed to the Yodelers cause with a productive at-bat in the bottom of the eighth inning. With runners on 1st and 2nd, he hit a run-scoring single, giving New Braunfels the lead.

"Honestly, I'm not frustrated," said Waco manager Howard Wall. "The effort was great."
