Stringer Leads Gulls to 21-4 Win Over Mammoths
The Galveston Gulls topped the Waco Mammoths by the score of 21-4, with the biggest share of the credit going to center fielder Ron Stringer. Stringer went 4 for 4 with a triple, 3 singles, and a walk. He scored 3 times and drove in 4 for the Gulls on the day. Jerry Trowsdale, the winning pitcher, is now 7-4.
