Contreras Propels Atleticos to 7-5 Win
The San German Atleticos downed the Sabana Grande Petateros, 7-5, at Parque de los Atléticos. Carmelo Contreras led the way, going 4-for-4 for San German. San German pitcher Ananías Álvarez got the win. He's now 1-0. Martín Plascencia was tagged with the loss. San German sits at 1-2.

The game turned with two out in the bottom of the fifth when Contreras, who finished 4th in the LH in stolen bases with 106 in 1892, hit a run-scoring single. It propelled the Atleticos into the lead, 2-1.

"We'll build on this win," said Contreras.
