Hits Galore: Kellams Drills 5 Hits
It was high-fives all around for Matt Kellams at Horizons Park today.

He got them from his teammates and he got them at the plate during an outstanding hitting performance against the Amarillo Horizons. Kellams smashed 5 hits in 6 at-bats on his monster day, leading his club to a 18-13 win.

"Matt was hitting everything," said Finos manager T.E. Newell. "It really was a special game for him."

In the opposing dugout, Horizons manager John Cassidy told BNN beat writers that Kellams "ambushed" the club.

"Obviously we didn't have much success against him, but we'll have another chance," the skipper said. "Hopefully, Kellams oversleeps next time."

Matt Kellams doubled in the 2nd, struck out in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 5th, singled in the 6th, singled in the 9th and hit a two-run single in the 9th.

Thus far this year Kellams has hit .375 with 1 home run and 42 RBIs.
