Ghost Lights Take Down Horizons, 6-5
The Marfa Ghost Lights did just enough to secure a victory over the Amarillo Horizons, 6-5, at Horizons Park. Nobody did more than third baseman Jesse Sheffield. Donato Jiménez earned the win to go to 8-12. He allowed 5 runs on 12 hits, with 4 walks and 1 strikeout in 9 innings of work. The Ghost Lights now have a record of 22-37 with the win over Amarillo.

The game was all tied up in the top of the eighth, until Sheffield delivered big-time for Marfa, stroking a dramatic run-scoring single off Willie McGill. The game-changing hit put the Ghost Lights on top, 6-5.

"Winning is hard sometimes," said Ghost Lights manager John Gerlt. "This one was nice to get."
