Finos Pull Off Thrilling 2-1 Win in Extras
In a low-scoring affair between the El Paso Finos and the Wichita Falls Yardmen, pitcher Procopio Alatorre was the difference between victory and defeat. The El Paso right-hander earned accolades in the 2-1 Finos win. Alatorre, now 9-8, was the winner. In 9.2 innings, he gave up 8 hits, while striking out 2, walking 1, and allowing 1 run. El Paso is 19-37 and Wichita Falls, with the loss, 33-23.

El Paso used the timely hitting of Esteban López to seize the win. The third baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the tenth inning to put the Finos on top, 2-1. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"This win should put a little bounce in our step," said Alatorre.
