Cowhands Sneak Past Ghost Lights, 3-2
|
The Odessa Cowhands defeated the Marfa Ghost Lights, 3-2, in Association of Western Texas action at Cowhands Park. Odessa pitcher Kurt Marland had a standout performance. Odessa is first in the Association of Western Texas Odessa Circuit with a record of 28-24.
Marcos Olivo was the walk-off hero for Odessa. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Cowhands catcher hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Marland told the Odessa Times.
