Marfa center fielder Fernando Gutiérrez contributed to his team's 5-3 win over the El Paso Finos. Gutiérrez, who finished 2nd in the WTXA in doubles with 26 in 1895, went 3 for 4 with 2 runs scored to lead the offensive attack for the Ghost Lights. The Ghost Lights go to 19-32 with the win.

The game hit a turning point in the bottom of the first inning, when the Ghost Lights were trailing 2-1. Ethan Butler delivered a two-out 2-run single for Marfa, catapulting his team into the lead.

"I just tried to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Gutiérrez.
